Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Traffic Signals Engineer to join the Green Signals Consulting team, working on many exciting projects in the UK and overseas.

The successful candidate will join the existing GSC team in delivering a wide range of traffic signal projects, covering all modes of control and with varying degrees of complexity.

As an Assistant Engineer, you will support the Senior Engineers within the Green Signals team in delivering a wide variety of projects. You will be given on the job training in order to assist you and ensure you are given the knowledge to undertake your job with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience as a designer of traffic signal schemes, including preparation of design drawings and writing TR2500 specification documents, 12/5 and 5/2 appendices. Experience working with manufacturer controller software and Linsig would be an advantage. Experience in other areas of traffic signals such as operations and maintenance will also be considered.

A strong work ethic, an ability to learn on the job and logical problem solving skills are critical to this role, as is the ability to work well with others and implement instructions effectively.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a good awareness of current standards and emerging policies for Traffic Signals and should be motivated to continue to update their knowledge.

A clean driving licence, a valid passport and the willingness to travel within the UK and overseas are essential to this role.

The candidate would ideally belong to a relevant Professional Industry Institution.
