Applications are invited for the post of Senior Traffic Signals Engineer to join the Green Signals Consulting team, working on many exciting projects in the UK and overseas.

The successful candidate will join the existing GSC team in delivering a wide range of traffic signal projects, covering all modes of control and with varying degrees of complexity. As a Senior Engineer, you will be expected to be concise and accurate with all forms of communication and you will be able to communicate confidently in any given situation and to any audience.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge in either UTC SCOOT or MOVA, it is desirable that you will also be competent to work confidently with the the other control strategy. In addition, you should be a fully competent designer of traffic signal schemes, including preparation of design drawings and writing TR2500 specification documents, 12/5 and 5/2 appendices. Experience working with manufacturer controller software and Linsig or other traffic signal modelling software would be an advantage.

An ability to work effectively as part of a team is critical as is the ability to work on your own and manage your own projects.

Attention to detail is extremely important to this role, whilst balancing the need to get it right first time and working to agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a good working knowledge of current standards and emerging policies for Traffic Signals and should be motivated to continue to keep their knowledge up to date.

A clean driving licence, a valid passport and the willingness to travel within the UK and overseas are essential to this role.

The candidate would ideally belong to a relevant Professional Industry Institution.
